In a nutshell

The Pfandbrief

Pfandbriefe have a long tradition in many countries – including Switzerland, among others – and offer investors a particularly reliable form of bonds. Their core strength lies in their dual security: each Pfandbrief is backed not only by the issuing bank itself, but also by the underlying property values – high-quality mortgages on real estate in Liechtenstein.

Liechtenstein Pfandbriefe are therefore secured by first-class mortgage collateral, which is subject to strict statutory and regulatory requirements. At the same time, Pfandbriefe strengthen banks’ refinancing base and thus contribute to the long-term stability of the Liechtenstein real estate market.
